Aims and responsibilities

The IfZ aims at promoting concepts for sustainable development of sugar beet production in Germany.

Responsibilities are taken over in the following fields:

• Basic research
• Applied research
• Coordination of nationwide variety trials and extension-related field trials

To achieve a fast knowledge transfer to extension service and practice, research results are published in scientific and practice-related journals as well as presented at conferences, field days and on the Internet.
