Department of Coordination

The Department of Coordination is active in the general organization of the Coordination Board (KA) and is responsible for the nationwide field trials with sugar beet (variety testing and plant protection). This also includes the technical organization of the variety trials for the National List on behalf of the Bundessortenamt (BSA, German federal office of plant varieties).

Fields of activities:

• Extension related, coordinated field trials
  in Germany (± 9,000 plots/year)
    -variety trials
    -plant protection trials (national/international)
• Methodology of field trials
• Integrated Pest Management
