Department of Agronomy



The main task of the Department of Agronomy is to improve sugar beet crop management focussing on crop rotation, soil tillage, plant establishment, plant nutrition and soil conservation.

Current research objectives:

  • Systems of conservation tillage
  • Sugar beet in energy crop rotations
  • Winter beet: Production system
  • Coordination of agronomy trials
